Does anyone follow traditions with their drinking?

Question #12:

Did Jesus really exist? Or is he merely the product of mythical elaboration and cultural selection?

It's definitely possible that Jesus never existed.

Note all the similarities and parallels between Jesus and many popular Greek myths.

It's common for Greek mythological figures to have a divine father and a mortal mother (much like how Jesus was supposedly the son of God and a mortal woman who was allegedly a young virgin). For instance, Hercules' father was Zeus, the god of sky and thunder, and his mother was Alcmene, a mortal.

There are also many parallels between Jesus and the cult of Dionysus. Wine plays a very symbolic role in both. Both represent the dying-god mythological archetype. Both have a ritual involving bread and wine.

Basically, Christianity is nothing more than a Judaized version of Greek paganism.

Now there are two possibilities:

1. Jesus was never really born. The Greek writers of the four Gospels merely invented a Jewish character and used sources from their native religions to tell his narrative.

2. Jesus did exist, but his narrative was nothing like in the Gospels. Paul, unable to convince the Jews that Jesus was the messiah, decided to preach Jesus' teachings to the Greek gentiles. Jesus' narrative wasn't written down until later, so it got distorted over time, much like the children's game telephone, and when it was finally written down it was very unlike the original narrative.

I'm not sure if I should believe the first or second possibility, but if I had to chose I would go with number one.

Question #15:

Do you know what the Bible really says about marijuana?

The hemp plant (scientific name: cannabis, slang: marijuana) is one of the many useful herbs "yielding seed after its kind" created and blessed by God on the third day of creation, "and God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:12) He gave hemp for people to use with our free will.

God said, "Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed which is upon the face of all the earth.…To you it will be for meat." … And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. (Genesis 1:29-31) The Bible predicts some herb's prohibition. "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times, some shall … speak lies in hypocrisy … commanding to abstain from meats which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. (Paul: 1 Timothy 4:1-3)

The Bible speaks of a special plant. "I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more." (Ezekiel 34:29) A healing plant. On either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare 12 manner of fruits, and yielding her fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Revelations 22:1-2) A gift from God.

How was cannabis used in Biblical times and lands?

Cannabis was used 12 ways: clothing, paper, cord, sails, fishnet, oil, sealant, incense, food, and in ceremony, relaxation and medicine. For so the Lord said unto me, "I will take my rest and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs. For afore harvest, when the bud is perfect and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks and take away and cut down the branches." (Isaiah 18:4-5)

Does the Bible discuss drugs?

Alcohol is the only drug openly discussed in the Bible, so it must serve as our reference. Wine is drunk during religious occasions such as Passover - the Last Supper of Jesus and His disciples. It remains a sacrament in modern church services.

Jesus began his public life by miraculously turning water into wine at the Wedding at Cana (John 2:1-10) when the reception ran out. The Bible distinguishes between use and misuse. It says, Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. (Proverbs 31:6-7) but Woe unto them that … follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them! (Isaiah 5:10)

Yet the simple joys of drinking were also sung. He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth; And wine that maketh glad the heart of man and oil to make his face to shineth. (Psalm 104:14-15)

Did Jesus speak about choice?

He said not to criticize other people for their habits. "Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; that which cometh out of the mouth defileth a man." (Mat. 15:11) The apostle Paul wrote, I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. … For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. (Paul: Romans 14:14,17)

Did He speak of government?

Jesus said to keep church and state apart. "Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's and unto God the things which be God's." (Luke 20:25) As we have seen, it was God, not government, who gave man the herbs to use. And it was government that put Jesus to death.

What about the Drug War?

Blessed are the peacemakers. (Matthew 5:9)

It was God who created cannabis hemp and told mankind to use "every green herb" on Earth. The Bible speaks of mercy, healing and a persecution of God's children. They persecute me wrongfully; help thou me. (Psalms 119:86) Prisons and drug wars do not save souls. The Lord… hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. (Isaiah 61:1)

Question #16:

I have a very, very, very important question about friendship, could I get some answers please!!!?

I am friends with a girl I was in university with named Laura and was wondering how do I always make sure that we're always friends? As she was nice to me one time in a club she brought me a drink came over to me and handed me the bottle and when I was feeling sad and had a frown on my face she asked me “Are you all right” – she than kissed me on my cheek and held her lips there for a few moments to place emphasis on the fact that she does care about me , and she has invited me to her house parties since uni has ended and I've been to all 3 and at one of them she created that moment for me - you know like when you're with your friends, family or girlfriend/boyfriend and you enjoy the time that you're spending with them so much that you want the moments with them to last "FOREVER, FOREVER, FOREVER" and to never end - yeah well at one of the parties she created a moment like that for me as she came up to me while music was playing and said to me "take my hand" and held her hand out to me and see I grabbed it and danced with her and she smiled at me, and I'm thankful for that!!! She's also got an innocent side to her that a lt of people don't see a lot of the Time - as at one party she said to me so innocently "Wayne, everyone keeps saying Josh has taken his top off and is dancing in the front-room showing his sixpack, but what do they want me to do? Frankie's starting problems being difficult {sighs} I just hate her" - she said this to me in an innocent tone!!! How do I make sure that I'm always nice to her as well? As I just couldn't imagine living my Life without her in it!!! Do you think I should tell her that I want to remain friends with her and to always keep in contact with her or would that be too much? Should I tell her all this? I hope she's all right and that she lives a good life!!! I've got her mobile number and I am on her facebook, how do I make sure that I never lose contact with her? As I've known her for 4 years now!!! And she made me feel truly wanted as a Friend when she invited me to her theatrical performance on Facebook!!!

Additional Details
And another time when someone had just said something to upset me and I was feeling down and sitting by myself she came up to me stared in my eyes and said "Are you all right" - like she genuinely cared about me!!! I sent her a text message once asking what she was up to, she sent me a text back telling me and one more message saying “You ok”, and when she got a new mobile phone she sent me a message telling me her new number, and at one of the parties she asked me "Do you like wine" and when I said yeah she went to the kitchen and got me a glass of wine I’ve never had a friend like her!!! Do I tell her or will she think I’m weird for saying something like this to her? I'm thankful to "GOD" for having her as a friend and need her to always be in my life!!!

Additional Details
At the first party I went to she bumped the side of her body against mine in a playful manner and said "Thanks for coming hun" making me feel welcome And at one of the parties I had just arrived she opened the door for me said hi to me and when I sat down came up to me playfully ruffled my hair and said “You all right” as if to say she was glad to see that I had come to the party and afterwards I accidentally spilled a drink on the carpet and said sorry to her and she ruffled my hair in a playful way and said to me "All right I'll let you off this time" and cleaned it up – and one time on Facebook I sent a message to her and she replied by saying “Hey Hun!” with an exclamation mark to tell me how much she thinks of me as a friend, she really, really, really means a lot to me as friend!!!

I always pray to "GOD" asking him to take care of her and to keep her safe making sure that she's always happy as she deserves to be throughout her whole life!!!She's absolutely "AMAZING" - I've never quite had a friend like!!! She's funny as well!!!

Question #19:

pls help me with the sonnet 6 from Elizabeth Barrett Browning.tks.?

what does line 3 indicate?

1Go from me. Yet I feel that I shall stand
2Henceforward in thy shadow. Nevermore
3Alone upon the threshold of my door
4Of individual life, I shall command
5The uses of my soul, nor lift my hand
6Serenely in the sunshine as before,
7Without the sense of that which I forbore -
8Thy touch upon the palm. The widest land
9Doom takes to part us, leaves thy heart in mine
10With pulses that beat double. What I do
11And what I dream include thee, as the wine
12Must taste of its own grapes. And when I sue
13God for myself, He hears that name of thine,
14And sees within my eyes the tears of two.

Question #20:

Married ladies, What do you think of this?

I was reading this weekend and inspired to a business opportunity which caters to the married woman. I think it would be a sort of escort service for married women and I think many would pay for this service.
Its a night out which provides all the things that husband does not.

It would start by meeting in a suite in a 5 star hotel suite discreetly registered under a name that cannot be traced.
There I will cook a great dinner with no kids, cell phones, husbands or beer ( fine wine if desired only for you).
During being served dinner and while you dine, conversation about anything you want with rapt attention.
After all of this, its finally to bed for something you really want. Large bed satin sheets, turn out the lights where I lean over quietly and whisper, " You had a hard day, you need your sleep, Good night"
There I kiss your cheek and quietly leave.

In the morning you leave the cash on the dresser for me to come back and clean up and remove the trash.

I think that married women would pay huge for this one.

What do you think? Would you ante up for this?
@Wet Pet, Yes I forgot. I would arrange for the baby sitter as well.
OKAY, I hear you, massages too, foot, back, whole body, whatever. That will have to be an additional cost option though.
Without the sex thing I'd have to be paid somehow.
I AM a guy afterall.
